‘A profound and whole-hearted participation in the adventure of life.’

How about that for a beautiful perspective. It’s from writer, psychologist and (intriguingly titled) mythologist Sharon Blackie.

Here’s the full quote.

Enchantment…has nothing to do with fantasy, or escapism, or magical thinking: it is founded on a vivid sense of belongingness to a rich and many-layered world; a profound and whole-hearted participation in the adventure of life.
— Sharon Blackie

The opposite of the awareness Sharon is talking about is probably life stuck in a rut. We all know that feeling.

The walls of the rut can get so high you actually can’t see over them. It’s a horrible feeling.

Awareness of the feeling is the begining of doing something about it. The walls of the rut are always more scalable than you think at first.

You can learn to see them differently, take a peek above them and uncover more possibilities for how you live.

And it’s not just about the big stuff. It can be about the small stuff too. It very often is.
